Yes, the river is only @ 20 minutes north of our house! Go figure! I don't think it is always this full of water. All this geography is new to me, and I'd love a exploring partner!
Looks like he was fly fishing. I think it is mostly carp in there. YIKES!
Thanks for visiting our blog, Brenda. I just spent some time going back in yours and learned what a wonderful writer you are (Frank and the Spaniels) and will enjoy visiting you regularly.
Cheers and hugs, Jo and Stella
PS: Do you have a dog now that looks like Stella? She is Border Collie/Lab and we love finding relatives!
The top photo surely isn't what I picture when I hear "desert." Very educational. And purty too. I guess lady wrestlers can have a good sense of aesthetics . . . .

I can imagine how cold the water must be...
How foreign your landscape is to me. It is beautiful, I would love to see it in person someday.
Hmm, now I'm itching to come out to your desert. You live close by that gorgeous river? Wonder what he's catching.

Looks like an oasis with all that spring greenery and water. Would be interesting to compare pictures of that place taken in different seasons.
The flowers are starting to bloom too! I love the Superstition Mountains in the spring!

HUGE river. Wonderful shots from up high. Reminds me of why we used to subscribe to Arizona Highways (and still have a stack of old ones).

Good lord, for a minute there I though Albert was posting a comment.
