Shado, keeping his eyes on me.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all.
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all.
(from the poem Hope by Emily Dickinson)
I sought more time in the garden today.
More birds, more songs without words.
And Sealaura's tomato plants continue to produce crop after crop.

Stunning photos and one of my favorite poems. It was a good day to post this since we are covered with snow. I need to see the hope of blue skies and spring.
Your world is quite a contrast from mine - it's nice to see some blue skies and sun!
That's a beautiful beautiful shot of Shado! Great capture!
Hi, I love the Emily Dickinson poem and your pictures to go with it are gorgeous. Tomatoes in February, wow!
those eyes make me melt! and those tomatos look so juicy and ready to be enjoyed! i like seeing your beautiful nature shots. we are so lucky today on the west coast, our poor friends on the east have it so much different.
Very appealing shots! I'm not sure I realized hummingbirds ever sat still long enough to be photographed by mere mortals.
I like the Dickinson. In and out, right now. A bullet. IN this case, a velvet bullet? Feathery bullet?
