Me and my amigo

My canine amigo, Shado, and I hiked yesterday in Amigo Wash.
Hiking in a wash is much more difficult. Very sandy, very rocky.
And very colorful in oh, so many ways.

I like hiking in the washes much better than anywhere else around here! Watch out for snakes and cougar, though. they travel in the washes, too!

Stumblers would be advised to stay on roads, though, I bet. I mean it looks like it could be a painful walk if one weren't careful.

Cheers.

Hiking in the wilderness is so rewarding... Having a camera allows you to keep it forever.

I'm usually a sucker for color, and I like #3 for that. But my favorite is those symmetrical cacti in #2. What good posture. How well behaved they are.

I wonder how you rotate the dogs' turns on the hikes? Or is it always Shado's turn? You've got a lot of critters to please, BrAZ.

Beautiful! And so different from the scenery here in the midwest!

Banjomyn, Shado is the hiker. The others are dog park runners. Makes the routine simple.

My neighbor friend with the young boxer goes to the dog park almost daily, and he swears by it for dog socialization. Never got there when I had dogs.

Aren't the ocotillo's pretty this year? There are so many of them in full bloom right now!
