No tears in nature

If thou art worn and hard beset
With sorrows, that thou wouldst forget,
If thou wouldst read a lesson, that will keep
Thy heart from fainting and thy soul from sleep,
Go to the woods and hills! No tears
Dim the sweet look that Nature wears.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

So beautiful photographs again Brenda. That is not a desert. Its more like a beautifully kept garden.

I'll try to live with that poem in mind. Naturedigital is right, it's like living in a gigantic Huntington.

Such a diversity... not enough time to go there these days and I feel sad about it... Luckily I have your blog to go to and visit...

Nice shots. Sometimes I think I can talk till the cows come home about how and why nature offers what it does. Then I come to my senses, sometimes before I've made a fool of myself.

Beautiful pictures. I grew up in the Arizona desert. Tucson. Lived outside of Benson at the foot of the Rincon mountains for a spell and traveled all over the state. I miss the desert after a rain storm and before.
The SR-71 is the first model I ever built.
My dad worked at Davis Monthan Air Force Base while we were growing up. I think it is probably one of the biggest bone yards in the nation that houses hundreds, if not thousands of air crafts. It is pretty amazing to see.
Thanks for stopping by. I will come back and read more.
