Our cousin brother, Vinnie

One afternoon, Mr. Gus announced the visit of Cousin Brother, Vinnie.

Sophie and Toby were hardly impressed.
Tennis balls are much more interesting and entertaining...

I'm not kidding! Toby does not give up tennis balls.

I guess there is no sharing going on here...

What is a cousin-brother to do?
Vinnie decided to claim the "pool".

Did I mention it has been hot?

120 degrees at 5:30?? You can not be a wimp to live in Arizona, huh??

Holy hell, batman, couldn't believe that temp. But the dogs look comfortable. Do you have one of those misting contraptions for the outside?

It would be interesting to see the fate of the tennis ball if Albert joined in. To him, the tennis ball is the breath of life (and he won't be swayed by rubberized substitutes).

Our hottest part of summer days is late afternoon - even tho the sun isn't overhead at that time. The dogs love the backyard and the shade. Vinnie loves the pool. We have a couple home-made misters in the gazebo, but they aren't on unless humans are around.

Tennis balls? We buy used ones in bulk (5 for $1). Like Albert, no rubberized ones thank you. Toby can't live without one in his mouth, even inside the house. They get chewed and then ignored. Should I send the discards to Albert?

Well, I would have to say that Vinnie is the smart one of the gang! I'd be in there with him.

120 degrees? Vinnie's a smart guy to head straight for the pool. I mean, hey, who needs friends when the weather hits the triple digits?

I think the pool was a good choice!

One more handsome dog!

What did dogs do before tennis balls? Like us before TV and now computers? We all chewed sticks?

120. I heard that, saw that, am NOT trying to imagine that. "Oh, but it's a DRY heat . . ."

and i am complainging about 100, yikes! no wonder Arizona or not is asking for us to do a rain dance for AZ. Love Vinnie in the pool. all of the dogs are beautiful and made me happy to look at them. our Jake does NOT share his tennis balls at all. we are lucky his sister baby does not like tennis balls.

I checked the temps out your way and see it has cooled a little. If one can call 107 degrees cool in any way.
