Between rain storms and cold fronts, we have some sun.
Today is the perfect day to inspect the garden.
Tomatoes! With more to come!
And the jalapenos are growing nicely.
The plants are a bit beaten down, but the crop is healthy.
Okay, do tennis balls really grow on bushes?
The dogs await the harvest...

Oh man, tomatoes! Yet another year when my good intentions were overtaken by the need to work.
Yummmm!
There is NOTHING like fresh tomatoes!!! That tennis ball shot was too funny.
DANG! fresh tomatoes! Now I really have to head south!
We have tennis balls that grow on cactus, so I guess you can have them growing off of bushes. Unfortuately, I'n the one that gets to do the harvesting of the cactus balls.
And this is outside? I envy you :-)
How did you train your dogs not to eat tomatoes?? :)
Tomato harvest will start next week!
Therese, for whatever reason, the dogs ignore the tomatoes - but they sure love the jalapeno plant. I keep them out of it - and I have lost count of the number of peppers they have stolen/eaten. sigh...
Tennis ball harvest? Wouldn't that be the best crop of all, Sandra?
I can't imagine a garden, let alone tomatoes, growing outside in December. Lucky you.
I'm so jealous! The only thing in my garden right now is snow! It will be many months before we'll be able to enjoy fresh tomatoes from our back yard.
wow, I didn't know tennis balls were in season....
So that's where tennis balls come from!
Sam
Winter tomatoes! Did you have to remind me or one of the major reasons why I miss Arizona? I may have to return for a visit sooner than I anticipated!
