Time came for us to take our family Christmas photo.
A nice sunny day, the dogs all in rare form (IE, willing to stay and sit TOGETHER NOW!).
And our handy new little remote camera trigger.
(Enbiggen the phototo catch the look on Toby's face.
He is the top-most dog in this pile.)
The remote trigger worked pretty well!
No cords, no wires.
No setting the camera on 'countdown'
and then running to get in place.
Just put the camera on a tripod
(or something stable like that),
set all the settings as you want them,
find the setting for remote trigger,
walk over to your spot,
sit,
press the release,
and
SMILE!
Oh yea - remember to hide your hand in the dog's fur.
Nothing worse than a bunch of photos with your hand 'out of pose' to the rest of you!

The remote camera button is a great idea! Were you able to get the shot you wanted?
The black dog on the far right in your first picture looks so much like my dog! She passed away seven years ago and I still miss her like crazy.
I dunno . . . pretty high tech!
Would this be the wrong place to mention that the two-win Lions edged the mighty Packers Sunday?
LOL and i mean it. laughing so hard. these are wonderful. the face with the tongue out and the eyes rolled and red is priceless. great family foto....i wnt a remote
Grandi Cani !!!
LOL, dogs are like children, it is hard to get them all to cooperate at the same time. I like that handy remote button. I may check one out for myself.
Hope you had at least one good pic with the hand hidden!
That is so cool! I wonder if they make one for my camera? Hmmm
Love the photos...no matter how they were taken. I sometimes have that same look on my face.
Banjo, there is NEVER a good time for such discussion. :-(
Yes, we got a shot or two that showed us all in good form. Toby had a silly face in them all, but that is the way he is.
My remote was purchased from Amazon (oh, how we love that site!). It is a Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote and it is compatible with Nikon DSLRs. It cost $14.92.
So, Pat, what is your camera? I know I knew...
thanks, all!
Now that worked out well.
Just a comment to say I am happy you liked the Desert Impression site so much! I do too, and I plan to add to my pin collection over a year or mores time! A cat is next!
Cheers,
Jo and Stella
Toby makes me laugh. He is a character,
