David - out at Goldfield, Arizona. Way east of Phoenix, on the Apache Trail - on the way to Canyon Lake. Hope this helps!

I haven't been there yet. Looks like fun.

Thanks for this, Brenda. I just requested True Grit and Rooster Cogburn from Netflix (the John Wayne ones, of course!) So I am just in the mood for some hero/villan time.

Trixie and the boys, kickin' up the dust! Man, that looks like a 50s movie for sure. Thanks.

For what it's worth, I found the recent, new True Grit MUCH superior to John Wayne's original. Of course, there's only one John Wayne.

My first thought was Tombstone. Glad to know you didn't have to travel too far to watch these antics. Actually, I'll bet these guys are having a heckuva time! Little boys and their toys, you know!

It's always fun to go with children at least once... I like the first picture a lot: very different of what we see in Tombstone, Tucson or Rawhide...

And I don't know for Goldfield, I have never been there and did not even know they had such a place, but if there is a steakhouse then it should be a great place to eat...

AH, nope, not me. My hair is redder. Plus, I am too dorky.
