Jo, this plant is a tall bush called a cape honeysuckle. Are you thinking of the fuchsia? I think they are able to grow in pots. They would be beautiful in hanging baskets! (Lightbulb just went off in my head, thank you!).
Banjo, yes, Goldfinch. And if Pat is correct, maybe there is a curly feathered gold finch? I like that idea.
We have hummingbirds everywhere. I was going to say they make me happy, but all birds do that. I'd be happier still if I could get some nice photos like these.
Hummingbirds are very rare where i live, I heard that we should grow many flowers to attract them but it never worked! they are beautiful little creatures! Greetings, Deebee

Wow wow wow!!! Your hummingbird shots are great. I love your bird pics.
Do you know the name of the flower in that last picture? I want to do a hanging basket this summer and hopefully get some hummers to visit!
Beautiful!

The top two look like gold finches in winter. Are they? Whatever the case, the pics are very appealing.
What beautiful pictures. The bird in the top one looks like she has curls in her hair/feathers.

Stunning and magical shots. I love the hummingbird.
Nice photos! Gotta love those colors. I really like hummies! They are my favorite birds...
Still wondering when I will be able to see hummingbirds again. Never mind I'll come and visit you blog.
