The peach-faced lovebirds have moved in.
They seem comfortable hanging out
in our backyard 'bird sanctuary'.
I have spotted two female and
two male lovebirds feeding and watching.

Lovebirds are the noisiest birds we have in our garden.
They certainly have that LOUD 'parrot' trait!
We are pleased to introduce you
to Lovey and Dovey,
Mr. Duchovny
and Mrs. Duchovny.

Nice clarity on the photos! Is the male always more colorful, the way it is with so many species? Do they squawk all day or take breaks? I think I once mentioned "wild" parrots we heard in Florida, and they were on and off with the noise. Well, congrats on your new neighbors.
P.S. I think my dentist is a dead ringer for Duchovny (Mr.).
They are beautiful new residents! HOw do you know they plan to stay?
Nest builders/ Egg layers?
Have fun with the new kids on the block!
Cheers and hugs,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat

Are they wild or feral?
Ah, I am glad someone caught the Mr. Duchovny. That goes back...
Jo, we are making them as welcome as possible so that they will stay. Hence we have the positive attitude going!
And AH, I imagine they are feral. We have seen some around, but never have 'cultivated' a sanctuary for them. Now... fingers crossed!
thank you all!
Nice shots, Brenda. If I had these sweeties around I wouldn't get anything done!
Wouldn't you know the new neighbors would be noisy>
Are lovebirds native to Arizona? What a beautiful addition to any neighborhood.

So pretty! Great photos of them also! I would love to see a pair (or two) of them hanging around my yard.
They are just cute as can be! How nice for you and for them that they found your yard. :)
Looks like a huminoid got bored with their birds and kicked them out of the cage.
Great photos, love those little birds. I am new to your blog and have enjoyed it very much. I ventured over from Arizona Living. I have visited Arizona on a few occasions and hope to go back again one day.
Fingers crossed for you for having them stay... Hope to see more of them in a few weeks.
