This is Indian summer in the desert.
We had a hint of Autumn when our daytime temps
dropped to 92-93 degrees F.
dropped to 92-93 degrees F.
It really felt like autumn was with us.
But now we are back in 100sF.
105 yesterday.
Indian summer. We just want Real Autumn.
Soon.

Either that or send Toby out for a major haircutting!
Cheers,
Jo, where its 60 today and even cooler tomorrow! Yay!
We can't wait for the cooler weather!
Sam
I'm with you! What an incredible couple of days that was....then it left making me want that weather again....but I think we have a major cool down by next wee....which means the 80's possibly maybe?:) Let's hope. Have a good weekend.
I hope there's a downward turn. I'm coming home next week. 55 degrees here in Oregon. Yes!
It must be the same "heat" wave that has us up into the 60's. I have to admit that I'm enjoying it here. But, it sounds tooooo hot there, especially for a dog with a thick fur coat!
Let's hope for you!
I like Jo's comment...
And in a few short weeks you'll be living in paradise!
we have that touch of autumn this week, but it has not cooled down that much, yet...
Heehee, I like Jo's comment, too. (Toby did have a nice short haircut for the summer, but we are letting grow out for 'winter'...)
I love hearing about everyone's pathway into Autumn!
Sam, maybe we will soon at the RailFest? I hope so!
Chris and Roe, fun to share our Fall thoughts will fellow AZ - and Kathy, you are in that club even if in Texas. Same with you, Therese - I bet French autumn is so different than you had in Chandler!
KB, watching your winter approach thru your camera lens and thru your new pup's eyes - awesome.
Whitemist, you always take me on a path away from home. Autumn is a unique on, isn't it?
Thank you!
I so agree! Want those cooler temps to get here soon.
Don't know how you--and especially the dogs--do it. Dry heat, yeah, yeah . . .
It's coming, it's coming! Supposed to be cooler this week. Goodbye summer! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
At least I hope it's gone. That is one hot-looking doggy! :)
Ah yes, autumn in the desert... The thorns on the cacti turning colors before they gather in piles on the ground. The nip in the air on an 80 degree evening. Can winter be far behind? Okay, I got carried away.
As you know, we can't wait for fall and winter in the desert, because that's when where we love to be. Can't wait! I'm already looking at the extended weather forecasts so we can get to your awesome state as soon as we can!
The first photo is beautiful and that pooch is looking so cute!
