Winter

Winter does happen in the desert of Arizona.
But rarely are we prepared for this here in the flatlands.

Yep, I did enjoy our couple weeks of winter we had so far this year.

It was great - I agree, Julie! Coats and a warm scarf and hat and gloves... Everyone says ONE week is enough for anyone, tho!

Oh You two are very funny! We start winter (usually) during mid-November and it just drags on until the end of March and sometimes a week or two in April.

We are busy right now getting from 2-4" of new snow! Can I send you some?

Cheers,
Stella

Oops! Hope your indoor pipes didn't freeze.

The day after I left dirtville the whole town's pipes were frozen and broken. Then I got to Quartzsite and it was freezing here, too! It warmed up for a few days, then rained cats and dogs and now we're back to cold. I want my sun!!!

Great catch on the frozen faucet! Very cool!

I love the freeze formations in the fountains. When it was really cold I even went out and let the hose run all night. With my luck with this house, it was desperation. I'm sure the pipes out there would have frozen on me.

I hope the temp rose quickly before you suffered any damage!

Wow! What a surprise that must have been. We just got back from the Yuma area, where we went to get some nice and warm winter weather. It was really cold there also. I don't think anything froze though (other than me, that is...) We're going to give it another go in a couple of weeks. Somewhere around Bullhead City me thinks.
