Spring along the creek

Sophie hiked with me along a creek yesterday. 
It was 90 degrees, the sun was baking. 
It was the desert Spring
... in bloom.

I miss the Spring in spring! We are down for 40 degrees today so we should lose a little snow!

We haven't hit 50 yet--in fact rarely 40. Even so, I don't know if I'd want 90, but those orange blooms are great.

I love the desert in springtime. It just seems to explode with color.
