The morning ritual

I never grow tired of these lovebirds.
Every morning I await their arrival at the feeders.
They aren't present at 4:30 a.m.,
nor at 5:15 a.m.

But by 5:40, their chatter starts.
They emerge from the leaves of our trees.
They spruce themselves.

Then they invade the feeders,
holding on with beaks and claws.

They are a ray of sunshine as the morning begins.

I can see why you wait for them to wake up, Brenda! They are beautiful to look at, and fun to see how they get along, and what they do. Do you still have 20 or more? How long do you think you will have them? Just exquisite is what they are.

Cheers and hugs,

Jo, Stella and Zkhat

They are so appealing, I can only imagine how long you spend enjoying their antics. I don't think I would be able to tear myself away :)

Yes, Jo - we still have 20-25 of them every morning!

We have owls, wild turkeys and other interesting birds at night and in the morning the chatter is so much it's hard to determine whats what!

You take beautiful pictures!
