In the garden

Today is a fun day to work in the garden. People are always amazed at what grows in Arizona - even in the summer. This has been an incredibly mild June thus far, but we got a jump start on summer in May. This month we are enjoying the cooler nights and mornings.

The garden loves a soaking of water every few days. Our cherry tomatoes continue to ripen.

The grape vines are taking off - two are Thompson seedless and one is Red Flame. It is always a surprise to see where the tiny tendrils have attached.

Other flowers continue to bloom even though the roses are heat influenced.
