Mr. Magoo

Ben Magoo

The Dog
by Ogden Nash

The truth I do not stretch or shove
When I state that the dog is full of love.
I've also found, by actual test,
A wet dog is the lovingest.

Oh, those light eyebrows -- he's got the LOOK.
I enjoy Ogden Nash's poetry. He was from Rye, NY as my mother-in-law was. I got to go there last summer, and on the library wall they had his poem, Have you read any good books tomorrow?

Tash, love the "Books" poem!! Way lofty summer reading! Never read this piece before and I'm glad you found it.

Thanks, all, for liking Mr. Magoo's photos. Ah Magoo, he did again!

Magoo and the two pups on Daily puppies.com -- What do you suppose is the evolutionary advantage to those brown spots that so many black dogs have over their eyes? Maybe there's a point or two about evolution that I don't get yet . . .
