Karin, you are pretty much right - we would walk past bullocks, dead 'untouchables' and camels on our 4 block walk to school. Our street paralleled a 'nala' - a huge ditch. Everything lived - and died - down there. It haunted the hell out of me. Still does.

I have never been to India but it is so interesting to see the old cars, with the cattle in the picture along with little shacks and large buildings.
What a collection of photos. A real treat every time.
You could so write a book, since you've got a great topic & CAN WRITE.
That is truly an amazing place. I love seeing pictures like these. They really spark the imagination.
