I have never been to India but it is so interesting to see the old cars, with the cattle in the picture along with little shacks and large buildings.

Karin, you are pretty much right - we would walk past bullocks, dead 'untouchables' and camels on our 4 block walk to school. Our street paralleled a 'nala' - a huge ditch. Everything lived - and died - down there.
It haunted the hell out of me. Still does.
