Another day in paradise

The sign is painted in the hill side -in case you forget where town is.
The desert's response to the recent rains - everything looks nourished.
Shado is our hiking dog. What can I say - he loves to hike!

It's been gorgeous up here for the past few days, too. Except for the incessant wind.

Nice job on the picture taking!

Do people wander off, never to be heard from again? After all, it is the desert, and somebody thought a sign was needed, so I'm only half kidding.

Everything looks so green it's hard to believe this is desert. I like the new growth on the cactus. Enjoy your hikes while the weather's nice.

I see Shado curled his ears for the big day out.

The saguaro is giving me the finger again. Is that a cholla in photo #2. And then an ocotillo?

Banjomyn, the PHOENIX is painted into the mountainside for pilots to see. I found a good history story on it, so shall post it.

AH, yes, cholla and ocotillo. In another week or another month, the oco. should have the red flowers on the ends - I'll take photos. Shado curl his ears?? Haha, that would NOT be manly thing to do, would it??
