The good, the bad, and ... the beautiful

Our grapevines are showing grapes. This is good.
But the rose bushes have aphids. This is bad.
But then there is the beautiful...
"Everything is blooming most recklessly;
if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.
-Rainer Maria Rilke

It looks like you have made your little piece of desert into paradise. If you have a pool I want to be adopted ( I come with a cattle dog and hopefuller a berder dog)

We will accept winter adoptions, a Mom,Stella and Ali Z. We love our summertime, when it comes but winter just stays toooo long.

We'll wait to hear from you.

Kisses,

Stella

I didn't know wisteria could grow in the desert, it's gorgeous! I like your post title and the quote also.

Nothing is perfect...
But so much color here today!

I was going to inflict my rapier wit here--in defense of aphids maybe. But I like the Rilke quotation too much. Nice blooming shots too!

Aphids need defense?? Fire away, Banjomyn!!

No pool here, but if it would bring you both and all the doggies (including Bermer), we could buy a plastic kiddie pool. Would that work?

Diane, I am not sure that the purple is wisteria. The vine is green most of the year, then suddenly blooms purple flowers - beautifully!

Things here have to bloom suddenly and quickly, don't they? It is the only way they can survive!
