She just might be right!
Shado and I hiked this morning. Our mission was to find saguaros with droopy arms.
But we had no such luck.
So we contented ourselves with photos of birds and a few blooms and many cacti doing
the "manos arriba" routine.
Even dead saguaros maintain their upright skeleton.
Karin, if we ever find a 'tired saguaro', we will let you know!

I saw one on my way to Phoenix in December. Somewhere between Wikieup and 17 on 93. Kind of like a needle in the haystack, huh?
A+++. Enjoyed that muchly. Manos arriba, indeed. (What a great and glorious backyard you have.)
I think I've heard that in the old western movies. Today it's more and more shooting.
I meant of course manos arriba.
I am not sure I would like the desert with all those picky cactus things growing everywhere. I am not even that crazy about evergreens but I love, love, love big leafy trees and we have lots of them where I live.
Kisses,
Stella
That's why it is always fun to hike in the desert. Every single time something different pops up in front of our eyes.
Great Photographs of the cacti and the birds ..
Happy easter Brenda..

It does look like we're being flipped off! LoL!
BTW: My photos aren't Dogwoods, they're Flowering Pears, but they do resemble Dogwoods!
What beautiful pictures.. We never thought of them as flipping us off but you have something there.. he he

I think we've got a couple on the way to the park - I will try and get you a few shots and send them your way.
