A sight we share

Therese at Chandler A to Z has taken time to identity the mountain ranges near us. I usually only see the Four Peaks, whereas Therese's viewpoint encompasses them all. I love learning more and more! Therese is super special blogger friend - she writes in two languages. I love reading her comments - when I can understand them.

A few more photos from our nearby road. My brain is anxious to write and ride.

My favorite peak around these parts in Mt Disappointment.

Great captures of those big water birds. Even though I frequently walk along streams, I have yet to encounter birds like those. Maybe my streams don't have the right kind of fish.

Is the first big bird an Anhinga? I think of them as such a Florida bird that they stop at the border. Or is he a cormorant?

And the other guy is a Great Blue Heron?

OK, that's my best pretense at knowing birds.

I get the impression that you've only recently discovered this water--true?? Sure looks nice.

Banjo - cormorant and heron, but I am pen to knowledge. Two lady birders told me cormorant - they weren't very impressed with hm at all.

Yes, I am just discovering the geography here. It is quite a journey.
