A spring day and the birds celebrate!
Hear how the birds, on ev'ry blooming spray,
With joyous musick wake the dawning day.

Wow, you got some good shots!
For some reason, your middle picture is not loading. I love seeing the birds on the cacti - such adaptations in a harsh, prickly environment.
Yes, I've noticed at the Huntington, the cacti spines don't bother the birds at all. And they eat what we're told are poisonous berries.
I love it when hummingbirds take a breather.
Hmmm, Barb, I can't recreate the 'non-load' problem. Hmmm. Maybe I will just 're-upload" it. Keep me posted.
AH, lots of BellaDonna plants at this riparian. Birds don't eat the berries, but they sure enjoy everything else. With a lovely name like BellaDonna, why does it have to be poisonous?
Tracy, let's meet someplace and photograph together!
Apparently A. Pope and Carly Simon have never been wakened by a mockingbird.
What bird is that with the bug on the cactus? Maybe it's a HUMBUG . . .
It's a cactus-wren!
Nice series! A lot of songbirds have arrived here in Fairbanks this week and have been singing up a storm. I love the photo of the Canada Geese and chicks. They migrate through here but I have never seen chicks.
Isn't that a wonderful place to go? We just took Sam and Monty there yesterday! We go at least once a month!
