Photos from a conversation I overheard at the Riparian Park this morning...
"Oooh, looks like a soft landing here"
(the sound of engines reversing themselves)
"Whew, that was decent landing... Not my best, but decent."
"I just hope it looked impressive."
"OK, let me get my feathers re-arranged here. Then time to meet the locals."
"Oooh, he's cute. I wonder if he's single?"
"Hi, I'm Betsy" (Boy, he really is cute. Let me fluff up a bit here)
"Hi, Betsy- I am Mr. Blue."
"Sylvia and I were just walking over to get a cup of joe.
Care to join us? You are sure cute."
(notice Mr. Blue dragging his foot on that one...)
I heard Sylvia mutter something like "If she is going, then I am staying home."
"And don't come looking for me, either.
Goodbye.
Enjoy yourself.
I hate you."

What a conversation that was! Everyone needs to take a step back & calm down & don't be a hater! LoL!
Very cool shots!
A funny and great post! Must be the local "singles" pond...

Great captures, I am in awe! Mr. Blue's foot dragging was especially cute. :D
The captions are cute and the pictures are FABULOUS!
Great bird shots and clever lines. I guess I assume that desert birds are totally different from the Midwest critters. Glad you have these two.
Great captions!
Oh Brenda, you scored tonight. Fabulous.
Great scenes. Perfect photographs.

Such a great observation Brenda!
Lovely series of photos and great conversation. It's fun to watch the interaction of a group of birds and imagine what they might be saying to each other.
This one is good!
Is this a local playground (pound) with....no cactus around?
My favorite here is the impressive decent landing shot.
Only three cranes around?
